Refill Trouble Shooting

Trouble shooting guide for refilling your own ink cartridges

1.Does not print out at all or does not print out all colors: This can happen when the dried ink clogged the nozzle. Gently blot the print head with a damp and lint-free towel to clean clogged ink. If the cartridges still won't print, try soaking the nozzle area/bottom of the cartridges in water for several minutes. Put 2/3 of water into a disposable cup and stick the cartridges in it. With this, the nozzle would not hit the hard surface. If the cartridge still does not print out, leave the cartridge in the cup of water overnight and try again.

In the case of color cartridge that contains foam, it may take a while until the ink down through the foam inkjets. Sit cartridge in the cradle and do not print for a while and try gain. If this trick still does not work, your cartridge may be damaged and you have to replace the cartridge.

2.Leaking after refill: This can be happen when you put ink too much in your cartridge or the cartridges it self is damaged. However leaking a little bit is normal. This kind of leaking will stop when the air pressure inside of the cartridges is balanced. If the cartridge is leaking too much, leave the cartridge on folded paper or stick the cartridge in a disposable cup and let the excessive ink leak. After leaking stops, wipe the cartridge clean and put it back into the printer.

3.White streaks: If the streak is irregular, you can try the tricks when the nozzle is clogged with dried ink. However if the streak is a regular one, the printer head on your cartridge is damaged, so you have to replace the cartridge.

4.Printer has an error message: Take the cartridge back out and re-install (see # 7).

5.Printing out the mixed color after refilling: This happens when too much ink is injected. If the ink is mixing at the bottom of the cartridge, print out our several pagers intentionally and you will have the right color. If it still comes out with mixed ink, ink may over flow between the containers and you have to replace the color cartridge.

6.Bubbles are forming after refilling: The bubbles do not affect any trouble for printing. However, if the bubbles are formed, leave the cartridges without using it for a little while until it disappears.

7.When printer does not recognize the cartridge: This happens when the contact point of printer head got or ink around. Spot the wet area with lint-free cloth or paper and reset into the cradle. Even though you cleaned the area you have the same problem, you have to replace the cartridge.

The common reasons for damage to the printer nozzle:

1. Forced to print without ink.

2. Not used for a long time resulting in dried ink clogging the nozzle.

3. Not getting an electric signal due to the moisture or damage on the printer head.
